The 19th and early 20th centuries saw the blossoming of new schools of art in the Scandinavian lands. A passion for land, light, life, and people abounded, together with a keener sense of national identity. Artists revelled in the majesty of sea and sky, forest and fjord. We will immerse ourselves in the work of Anders Zorn, Nils Kreuger, Akseli Gallen-Kallela, Anna Ancher, Peder Severin Krøyer, and many others.
