We will trace the history of the Venetian Empire from its earliest times to the 19th century. Exploring the Republic's trade routes and bases along the Dalmatian Coast, through the Greek Islands, and up to the Black Sea, we will discover the art and architecture of Venice, both in the lagoon and in the great cities of the Veneto.

7 weeks, Friday 7 February - Friday 28 March (incl., with half-term break on 21 February).
