Fulford, Stamford Bridge, and Towton were some of the bloodiest battles fought on English soil. In fact more major skirmishes have been fought in Yorkshire than in any other county. During the Middle Ages in particular, the region was permanently on the front line. This short course will chart that bloody history, from the battles of the Norman Conquest, through the period of the Scottish wars, to the great baronial conflicts of the later Middle Ages, especially the Wars of the Roses.

4 weeks, Wednesday 20 April - Wednesday 11 May (incl.)

Cost: £15
