A quick update - and new courses!

Arrivederci, Poveglia!

Just a quick post to say thank you for all of your good wishes during our recent incapacitation. I’m happy to report that we’re just about ready to put the Poveglia wing of Wrightington Towers into hibernation. We’re both feeling infinitely better now, and are just about recovered from the compulsory “Crikey - we made it to the end of term” crash and concomitant recuperative sleeping.

Thank you again for your understanding and for bearing with us with regard to the courses we had to reschedule. A silver lining from our having had to do this is that we ended up experimenting with some new things we'd been planning to do over the summer. I’m still working out the practicalities of said new things, but shall be in touch again very soon with further details thereof.

In the meantime, however, we didn’t want to hold fire any longer on letting you know that we’ve got some courses newly available for booking.*

*[Extra brownie points and thanks to those of you who spotted said new courses and booked them before we’d even had time to announce them. This makes us very happy!!]

In the light of the continued positive feedback on our new model of Short & Sweet courses on the first two Saturdays of the month, voila the next two (subjects in response to recent requests and suggestions - for which thank you!) …

Gothic Art and Architecture

Saturdays 7 & 14 May, 10.30-1.00

Online via zoom

Hadrian’s Wall

Saturdays 4 & 11 June, 10.30-1.00

Online via zoom

Additionally, Robert’s 4-week course for PLACE on Yorkshire Battles - in-venue at Bedern Hall, York, and online via zoom - is now available for booking. Our apologies for the delay and consequent short notice on this one - it took us longer than we’d hoped to be sure that we could get the tech in place for zooming from another venue. We sincerely hope that our earlier notices about it allowed those of you would be interested to “save the date”.

Over and out for now. Over the next few days we’ll be catching up on emails which were unanswered during our respective malaises, then back in touch here with details of our new developments.*
