Ever wanted to know more about modern art but have been too afraid to ask? Ever felt modern art was just a confusing mass of ‘-isms’? Ever looked at a work of modern art and thought “What’s that supposed to be”? If the answer is yes, then this is the course for you!

We’ll explore major art movements of the twentieth century, all the way from cubism to conceptual, by way of abstract expressionism, and with a slight detour around Dada. We’ll look at the famous artists, the famous works, the historical contexts, and what the critics had to say…. And then you can make your own mind up…!
